I've always been drawn to films set in space, because they suggest what might be achievable through science fiction filmmaking. Seeing this movie was a truly remarkable event; it reminded me of my time watching Interstellar. The performances by Gosling and Huller were fantastic together, and they seem likely to be nominated for Academy Awards next year, even though the film came out early. I regret that I couldn't see it in IMAX—it’s not playing here—or on a large screen domestically, but I still felt transported to another world, like you do with these kinds of productions.
