This film earns a 3/10 rating; it’s not offensively bad, but it's far from enjoyable. The storyline feels ridiculous and unbelievable, which negatively impacted the acting – the cast seemed simply to be delivering their lines with no real engagement. What really drags it down is Gosling’s performance, which felt like a rehash of countless other movies; science fiction doesn't seem to suit him, nor does attempting emotional connection. The narrative unfolds in a straightforward and predictable manner, making it quite dull. A short segment addressing political and social issues on Earth comes across as clichéd, lecturing, and lacking any depth. It’s not even entertaining enough for an airplane trip.
