While not flawless, the film manages to be gripping, unusual, and surprisingly humorous. At its heart, it's a story told primarily by one person, enhanced with some computer-generated imagery, and Ryan handles this concept effectively. The plot is odd and captivating, as is the supporting character, which contributes significantly to the movie’s entertainment value. It functions as an enjoyable science fiction adventure combined with elements of a buddy film, and I feel comfortable suggesting it to others.
