The premise is genuinely inventive: four engineering friends are working on a prototype device. David Sullivan portrays “Abe,” who stumbles upon its remarkable potential during testing and tells his colleague, “Aaron” (Shane Carruth). Instead of involving the others in their discovery, these two decide to move the invention and use it to manipulate the stock market for personal financial gain. The film effectively illustrates the moral dilemmas that could arise if someone were given such an extraordinary opportunity – but the characters feel underdeveloped. The constant talking becomes tiresome, and I just wished they would quiet down and advance the plot. It’s a brief production that demands your attention to fully grasp its meaning; however, I ultimately found it more stimulating as a springboard for discussions about hypothetical scenarios than as a compelling drama in its own right.
