There's something of Green Room and Gymkata in this film’s DNA. Right off the bat, let me say that it's enjoyable. The characters are well-developed and memorable; you find yourself caring about them. There’s a villain who goes all out, and I was pleased to see Uma Thurman included, similar to Patrick in Green Room—the direction is excellent, and the action sequences are so absurd they keep you on the edge of your seat. It's not a masterpiece, certainly. However, it's an entertaining and engaging narrative with a wildly inventive approach to its action that makes me want to suggest people check it out.
