A group of highly trained soldiers is sent into the Central American wilderness to recover important people after their aircraft crashes. They quickly realize they're being stalked by a creature… something not from Earth. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Carl Weathers lead the cast. "Predator," released in 1987, combines jungle action with science fiction elements for an entertaining adventure-horror experience. The all-male ensemble is very good, though Elpidia Carrillo provides a needed contrast as Anna. The movie has become well-known and undeniably stylish, featuring impressive scenery and photography, plus special effects that still impress. However, it doesn't offer much substance; it’s fun for casual viewing but ultimately not memorable. If you want a truly immersive jungle adventure-horror film, watch "Apocalypse Now" from 1979 instead. The movie has a running time of 1 hour and 47 minutes and was filmed in southern Mexico.
