For quite some years, somewhere between 1996 and 2009—that would be roughly ages four to seventeen—this film held the position of my absolute favorite. It marked the first time I possessed a video that wasn't copied illegally, and it likely shaped my formative years more than I’m willing to acknowledge. _Predator_ manages to both represent and go beyond what was typical for movies in the 1980s; I strongly suggest anyone who hasn’t had the opportunity to view _Predator_ should do so, simply as a necessary part of experiencing life. It's one of just five films I’ve ever awarded a perfect rating of 5 out of 5 stars. _Final rating:★★★★★ – Transcendent entertainment! An all time great._
