This sequel hasn’t received the recognition it deserves, likely overshadowed by the success of the initial film. Chaos reigns in Los Angeles as gang violence spills into the streets; law enforcement struggles to regain control, but they face a new threat—a Predator has arrived and is escalating the situation. Arnold Schwarzenegger isn't present, nor are John McTiernan or the jungle environment that defined the first movie, making it difficult to live up to the original’s legacy. However, I believe *Predator 2* holds its own as a worthwhile addition to the science fiction/action category. The urban setting of decaying Los Angeles is effective, and pairing the Predator against a seasoned but less physically imposing officer (Danny Glover) creates an interesting dynamic of intelligence versus strength. It's even amusing that director Stephen Hopkins and writers Jim & John Thomas portray the Predator as cleaning up L.A.; another two hours of hunting and eliminating crime would have completely resolved the city’s issues! There’s plenty of graphic violence for those who enjoy it, and thankfully, the characters feel meaningful within the narrative. Voodoo magic, indeed! The film boasts a strong cast that feels like a roll call of action movie actors: Danny Glover (*Lethal Weapon*), Bill Paxton (*Aliens*), Robert Davi (*Die Hard*), Gary Busey (*Under Siege*), Rubén Blades (*Once Upon a Time in Mexico*), and Maria Conchita Alonso (*The Running Man*). Kevin Peter Hall reprises his role in the Predator suit, delivering another impressive performance. It’s not a masterpiece, nor did it revolutionize anything, but *Predator 2* is an enjoyable genre film that consistently gets overlooked on online discussion boards. Who's Next? 8/10
