This is without question the saddest, bleakest film to come out in the last twenty years. It feels like an entirely pointless exercise in filmmaking. If someone has ever considered ending their life but hasn’t gone through with it, seeing this movie might do the trick—and I seriously doubt they'd be around afterward. I honestly can't fathom how anyone approved this project for production. The version of Los Angeles presented is a nightmare scenario that I sincerely hope no one ever encounters. It’s true that everyone lives and then dies; some people get more time than others. Usually, we go to the movies to escape from those realities, not confront them head-on. I simply can't grasp why studios would approve a story focused on the most terrible things imaginable, and then shoot it with such gloomy visuals to amplify all the morbid aspects of existence. If possible, I’d give it a rating of negative five; it's that awful. Unless you actively enjoy intense despair, steer clear of this film entirely.
