This film, taking place in 1950s Florida, stands out as an exceptionally funny coming-of-age story! The cast may not be full of well-known names, with the possible exception of a young Kim Cattrall, but it consistently elicits laughter. What really sets it apart is its straightforwardness; there's no hidden meaning or political agenda to dissect. There’s no lesson to be learned from it. It exists purely to entertain and genuinely succeeds in doing so. The film also features what could be considered one of the most memorable shower scenes ever filmed, a prolonged nude sequence where Kaki Hunter’s body is plainly visible, as are those of five other women.
