It’s difficult to say definitively how I feel about this film. Looking back now, as an adult, it's truly awful. However, when I was younger, I genuinely enjoyed it; I found it amusing, silly, and exactly what I expected from a Police Academy movie. Yet, revisiting it with adult eyes reveals that the humor doesn’t quite land like it did before. I feel conflicted because there are definitely superior entries in the Police Academy series—movies which I will happily rate as perfect—but this one just didn't deliver on its comedic potential; much of what makes the others work simply didn't connect with me this time around.
