It’s an enjoyable film that I’d happily watch again and can suggest to those who like horror, paranormal stories, or survival thrillers. I don’t believe this is a poorly made movie, but I do feel it could have been something truly exceptional. Initially, the acting felt lacking. While I thought Kathryn Prescott, known from Skins, did her best to elevate the film, her character seemed intentionally underdeveloped, limiting what she could accomplish. The only other performer I recognized was Madelaine Petsch of Riverdale. A more talented ensemble might have given the characters greater depth and drawn the audience further in before each demise; it proved difficult to become truly attached to some of them. I appreciated how the camera served as a conduit for the paranormal elements, and the established rules surrounding those events were quite intriguing. As a result, the unfolding plot manages to hold your attention throughout most of the runtime. The film’s main shortcoming lies in its “twist”—or what I'll refer to as a "twist" to avoid giving anything away, regardless of whether it genuinely qualifies as one—which feels more elaborate than the narrative demands. Although the revelation itself is a well-executed scene, I personally would have preferred the opposite. If you’re into horror, survivalist themes, or paranormal investigations, I suggest checking this out; I suspect you'll find something to like.
