"Pocket Listing" successfully combines various styles of filmmaking. It incorporates neo-noir elements alongside a darkly humorous crime story and commentary about wealth, managing to pull off its complicated schemes and betrayals effectively. The plot’s surprises hold the viewer's attention, and both the visuals and editing are sharp. However, what really makes it work is the cast; they’re all very likable. James Jurdi portrays a character who is attractive, self-assured, and friendly, while Jessica Clark embodies beauty, allure, fragility, and a dangerous kind of charm. Rob Lowe delivers an enjoyable performance as a rock star turned villain, and Logan Donovan, Noel Gugliemi, and the legendary Burt Reynolds all provide strong support in smaller parts. It’s ultimately a clever and entertaining crime film, though it can occasionally be challenging to follow.
