The beginning crawls along at an unbelievable pace; I nearly stopped watching because of how much time passed before anything resembling a storyline emerged—and maybe quitting would have been the wiser choice. The central character’s scheme is so ill-conceived that I found myself anticipating its inevitable failure, and it was obvious for quite some time who her romantic partner would be.
