This movie was enjoyable overall. I might have wished the main characters’ story hadn’t been so expected, but I still thought this 1989 film with Clint Eastwood and Bernadette Peters proved to be entertaining. Both Eastwood and Peters deliver strong performances. Similar to what happened in 'The Dead Pool' the year before, there’s a brief appearance from an up-and-coming Canadian actor; another Canadian shows up as well. Geoffrey Lewis really makes an impression – he’s considerably better here than in the 'Every Which Way but Loose' movies. James Cromwell has a part, too. It’s not serious, but it is funny. *'Pink Cadillac'* was the last time Eastwood and director Buddy Van Horn worked together—it wasn't quite on the same level as Eastwood's collaborations with Don Siegel, but it was still an important pairing.
