I really loved this movie. To give some context, I’m a big fan of Pharrell; he's been my favorite artist for quite some time. My parents introduced me to his music when I was younger and I just enjoy it so much. Going into the film, I anticipated having a good time with excellent music and maybe picking up a few things along the way. But honestly, I got far more than that. I appreciate Pharrell’s thought process, how he views the world. It might sound strange what I'm about to say, but this movie shifted my outlook on certain aspects of life. The soundtrack was fantastic, as expected. A lot of his music brings back memories for me, so hearing those songs evoked a sense of nostalgia. The film is also amusing; it’s not laugh-out-loud hilarious all the time, but there are definitely funny moments. Don't try to draw parallels with the previous Lego movies—they are completely different kinds of films. It wouldn’t be honest of me to say I didn't get emotional during parts of this movie because I connect with what he is expressing. I understand it, at least in a similar way. Overall, it was an incredibly inspiring film. It has motivated me to simply begin pursuing things; it’s never too soon to start working toward your goals. After Hurricane Milton caused stress and negativity for everyone in Florida, this movie was exactly what I needed. It made me feel…happy. 9.5/10
