The predictability of "Physical Evidence" ultimately holds it back, and despite the importance of Joe Paris’s situation, a feeling of real pressure doesn't build regarding whether justice will prevail. The film’s slow and unremarkable rhythm contributes to this lack of excitement, but there are still elements to appreciate. The narrative isn’t superficial, and the atmosphere of mystery and suspense is maintained consistently. It's certainly passable as entertainment, even if it doesn’t have much depth or anything particularly original to contribute compared to other movies in its category; however, it does represent a respectable effort to move beyond the ordinary.
