The animated movie Pets United is designed for kids ages 7 and up; however, the complicated plot and flawed way it’s put together can be hard for those children to understand completely. Though the animation looks good, the story suffers because it's unclear why the villain does what they do, and there are random parts—like songs that don’t need to be there and strange romantic storylines—that lessen its effect. If the filmmakers had concentrated on telling a clearer story and developing the characters better, the film might have been more worthwhile and interesting for younger audiences.
