“Falcon” functions as something like Robin Hood for a group of stray animals, a clever raccoon who gathers resources and shares them, all while preparing for a large Christmas meal for everyone. To achieve this goal, he's collaborating with badger “Hans” to take provisions from a speeding train’s buffet car! After cleverly accessing the security systems, "Falcon" finds out that he’s been double-crossed, and now it falls to him, along with a group of mostly well-cared-for pets and a police dog named "Rex," to fix things before something terrible happens. The story follows a recognizable pattern, but there are numerous exciting moments as he tries to motivate his new team—which includes a rather timid dog, a goldfish contained in its own tank, and a tortoise that unexpectedly becomes a bouncing projectile—as they make their way through the train toward the control car. The animation is well-done and creative, and the story also playfully mocks the predictability of local television broadcasts and the personalities who prioritize ratings and personal advancement by exaggerating events. It includes familiar components like cooperation and mutual support, and there’s even a suggestion of romance (though how that might develop remains to be seen), all while easily passing an hour and forty minutes.
