Tom and Bea are enjoying a peaceful life together, raising their children in the garden without any barriers. Bea has documented their experiences in a book, but Peter feels frustrated by his reputation as the troublemaker. When Tom and Bea leave for a trip, Peter runs off to town and finds acceptance with a group who embrace his mischievous nature. Worried when they discover he’s gone, the family sets out to find him, facing danger as they try to retrieve him from this new crowd. The animation is well-done, featuring lively action sequences and amusing moments, alongside a believable connection between the human characters while they navigate Peter's disappearance and deal with Nigel, the publisher—played by David Oyelowo—who wants to portray their idyllic life in a way that will generate more money. It moves along at a brisk speed, and though it occasionally feels overly sincere or politically correct, it remains an entertaining film for families, featuring memorable characters you might soon forget, making it something you’ll want to watch again.
