The film follows Jerry Stahl recounting his experiences to another patient while in rehab, after she finds him working at a fast-food restaurant. The narrative unfolds through fragmented recollections, offering snapshots of how he damaged his own existence. **Uninspiring. Stale. Meandering.** The characters, including Jerry himself, lack depth and development; they feel entirely superficial. It seems to aim for a commentary on Los Angeles culture, though that concept has been explored more effectively in other works. Seeing Ben Stiller portray someone struggling with addiction is a highlight, but ultimately that’s the most compelling aspect of the movie.
