This sports/action movie is a genuinely entertaining and enjoyable film that deserves more recognition! Dolph Lundgren—known for films like THE EXPENDABLES and RED SCORPION—delivers a strong performance as a pentathlon athlete. It seems there’s no limit to what he can accomplish! This picture offers something different from typical Lundgren movies; it focuses on competition rather than action, although Nazis are involved, of course. The film showcases Lundgren's character as not only physically imposing but also possessing sensitivity and humor. PENTATHLON is an excellent sports movie that’s ideal for getting into the spirit of the Olympics, especially with the 2012 games approaching. Alongside Lundgren is David Soul (from SALEM’S LOT, STARSKY AND HUTCH, and the outrageously funny JERRY SPRINGER: THE OPERA), who provides an equally impressive performance as a ruthless Nazi determined to win by any means necessary! PENTATHLON is a great film for action and sports enthusiasts alike. It's perfect viewing during the lead-up to the Olympics. The new Anchor Bay Blu-ray looks amazing in high definition; this is undoubtedly the best version available.
