*Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie* adds another enjoyable, energetic film to the series, following one boy and his team of puppies as they rescue people by moving from Adventure City to an island inhabited by dinosaurs. Everything about the movie—the visuals, jokes, action sequences, and plot—really clicked with me. I especially appreciated that Marshall’s clumsiness wasn't presented as stemming from a difficult past but rather as something he chooses to work through despite his struggles. It’s a welcome change from how clumsy characters are usually portrayed, suggesting it’s a personal choice instead of an ailment needing correction. The brief return to Adventure City at the beginning helps maintain continuity between films, although I was sorry not to see Liberty. Mayor Humdinger's reappearance as the villain, but with him initially wanting a fresh start, demonstrates a level of development the series hasn’t explored before. Previously, he felt like a flat character motivated by sneaky schemes, but now he seems genuinely changed; his relapse due to the diamonds on Dino Island feels realistic and shows that progress isn't always straightforward. The voice actors—particularly Mckenna Grace as Skye, Jennifer Hudson as Lilian Ledes, and Terry Crews as Alistair Stonewall—gave wonderful performances. I also really liked the new songs "Bottle Up" by Backstreet Boys and "Work" by Ava Max. These tracks feel like modern hits kids would enjoy, and they also connect to the movie's themes; “Bottle Up” literally describes how the Paw Patrol is suppressing their amazement at seeing an entire island of dinosaurs, while "Work" emphasizes their need to save the island from a volcano Humdinger sets off with dynamite. My one complaint—and it’s something I’ve always noticed in *Paw Patrol* movies—is how quickly things move. Because the films are geared toward very young viewers, they sometimes overlook the value of slower pacing, which can allow for richer world-building and more developed characters. Animation studios like DreamWorks or Pixar have been doing this successfully for years. Overall, *Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie* was a fun, action-packed experience that continues to impress with its visually stunning story about perseverance and tackling difficult challenges even when you have a perceived weakness. I’m hoping we'll see more of these films over the next few years.
