It's a skillfully crafted movie, though ultimately lacking in purpose. Patient Seven boasts strong performances, an appealing musical score, and engaging conversations. The film presents seven horror vignettes, none of which are dull. However, the filmmakers didn’t bother to weave these stories together, provide resolutions for each patient’s narrative, or even present a satisfactory conclusion. Rather than repeating horror tropes across the different storylines—using similar creatures or crimes—they could have employed those elements to build a more cohesive whole.
