The film functions adequately as a breezy diversion for about ninety minutes, though it consistently fails to surpass a certain level of blandness. The storyline relies on familiar tropes; a terrorist being moved by the FBI aboard a regular flight, their subsequent escape aided by someone within the aircraft, and a protagonist wrongly detained by inept law enforcement—not to mention the predictable airborne leaps and bounds. It's all rather tiresome! Wesley Snipes delivers a performance consistent with what one would anticipate from Wesley Snipes, which unfortunately doesn’t manage to lift the movie out of its average standing. The most memorable character is arguably the terrorist leader, portrayed by Bruce Payne; I found his detached, unsettling demeanor quite appealing. A handful of passable action sequences are scattered throughout, enough to maintain a minimal level of engagement and prevent it from becoming something one would rather do than watch a film. Otherwise, this movie is easily disposable. It’s fine as ninety minutes of uncomplicated amusement, and its brief running time might even be considered a small advantage.
