This is certainly among the films where Jason Statham embodies his usual persona. The film involves Jason Statham sporting a wig, adopting the role of a priest, then a cowboy, and delivering an outrageously funny Texan laugh that Jennifer Lopez’s character accepts as genuine—much to her surprise when she hears his British voice. It's a silly, absurd, and very funny movie, full of action as one would expect from Mr. Statham. Parker, the character played by Statham, seems nearly indestructible, and though his ethics are somewhat suspect, he comes across as generally agreeable—a good-natured sort of antihero. It might not be a particularly brilliant film, but there’s an undeniable charm in seeing Jason Statham delivering action sequences while doing a comical Texas accent (however brief) and dressed as a cowboy.
