Jason Statham demonstrates yet again why it's unwise to betray him. In "Parker," he carefully orchestrates a robbery that brings his team a million dollars. However, their desire to gamble those funds on an even larger score—something Parker isn’t interested in—leads them to abandon him by the side of the road, believing they’ve eliminated him. That was definitely not a good idea! Recovering from this betrayal, he joins forces with Jennifer Lopez, who plays a realtor and is somewhat irritating, to stop their planned heist. As you might imagine, there's an abundance of fighting, shooting, and broken noses throughout this action-filled crime story. It won’t require any significant thought on your part; the conversations aren’t likely to spark interesting discussions later—it's a straightforward and enjoyable vehicle for Statham, supported by Patti LuPone and Nick Nolte at times, and it delivers exactly what you expect.
