It’s a really worthwhile watch. *Pale Rider* tells an engaging story set during the gold rush era, and the characters are well-developed; Clint Eastwood delivers a memorable performance as the central figure, although I wished there had been greater focus on John Russell and his part in events. I wouldn't describe it as flawless, but it certainly provided me with enjoyment – and for my tastes, that’s sufficient. There isn’t much else to say about it.
