I'd anticipated seeing this film, but I ended up feeling let down by how things turned out. The filmmakers presented this as an incredibly ambitious undertaking, full of scientific hurdles and completed under a great deal of stress. That’s what the story should have focused on. However, that didn’t happen. Instead, the science, difficulties, and accomplishments are simply touched upon, while we're subjected to three lengthy, tedious hours about political maneuvering and one character’s romantic relationships. It wasn’t what I thought it would be, nor was it something I wanted to see. It’s typical of Hollywood to transform factual subjects into a sensationalized drama. Christopher Nolan isn’t someone who should direct films based on science or history; his *Dunkirk* failed to impress me, and *Interstellar* was both a bad movie and scientifically inaccurate. I probably should have had more realistic hopes when I learned he was involved.
