While I didn’t find myself loving *Operation Mincemeat*, it remains a decent film. A diverting story—based on true events, though undoubtedly altered to some degree—unfolds over about 128 minutes. I believe the length could have been trimmed down; however, it doesn't feel slow-paced, just that certain parts toward the conclusion could have moved along more swiftly. The movie generally delivers what you’d anticipate from a British production of this kind, including an ensemble cast comprised of familiar faces from both UK television and film. Colin Firth and Matthew Macfadyen work well together as the central characters, and Kelly Macdonald effectively guides the rest of the capable acting talent. I also noticed Johnny Flynn and Simon Russell Beale appear, who were both in 2022's *The Outfit*, which was a good movie, by the way. I would have preferred to skip the romantic subplot; it didn’t seem to contribute anything substantial and felt rather predictable. I understand its inclusion given what happens in the narrative, but I wouldn’t have missed it if it hadn’t been there. Overall, it's certainly worth seeing.
