The difference in picture quality between the initial _Open Water_ and this one is truly remarkable, yet the film itself remains quite poor. It’s also worth noting that this isn't really a shark movie—I was genuinely taken aback by that. I suspect the situation arose because someone set out to create a remarkably foolish film, only to discover that an almost identical project in terms of plot and lack of intelligence had already been made. To disguise this, they hastily declared it a sequel to the first _Open Water_. Seeing Rick Cosner, who is known for his roles as Loki/Gabriel on Supernatural, was mildly interesting, but I doubt most viewers will care about that. The film’s overall appeal seems limited. _Final rating:★½: - Boring/disappointing. Avoid where possible._
