This movie, *'One Life'*, brings to mind *'Schindler’s List'*, although it feels more realistic and avoids some of the heightened drama you might expect from a Hollywood production—and that’s not meant as criticism; I think *'Schindler’s List'* is actually better. This new film really gets to you, making it hard not to become invested in the characters. There are numerous emotional moments that pull at your heartstrings, and one scene near the very end featuring Anthony Hopkins is particularly powerful. He delivers an excellent performance, as always. Johnny Flynn also does a great job; his role here is just as significant as Hopkins’s. Helena Bonham Carter doesn't get quite enough to do, especially considering she’s featured on the promotional materials, but she’s still very good. It was nice to spot Jonathan Pryce in a part too. I actually recall stumbling across that clip from *'That's Life!'* on YouTube years ago, and I didn’t connect it to the scene until just before it appeared in the film. Regardless of whether you decide to see *'One Life'*, that video is something everyone should watch.
