It's another significant WWII narrative that really should be experienced in cinemas with “One Life.” The film doesn’t attempt anything particularly new or innovative, but it tells its story in an engaging way. There are some truly heartbreaking and touching scenes throughout, alongside portrayals of kindness, selflessness, and optimism, all leading to a very moving conclusion that feels like a fitting recognition of Sir Nicholas Winton. The actors handle the seriousness of the rescue effort with sensitivity, and Anthony Hopkins delivers a powerful performance as the bottled-up feelings finally surface. The film is skillfully put together, and the music evokes strong emotions; it’s definitely something you should see. Rating: A-
