The movie One in A Hundred Thousand is a romantic drama based on Kaho Miyasaka’s manga, telling the story of a young woman's experience with ALS and her relationship with Ren, who cares for her. Though it presents a clearly organized storyline and commendable acting, the film emphasizes Ren’s point of view to a greater extent than it delves into the realities of the disease, similar to One Litre of Tears. Featuring poignant music, carefully framed scenes, and an uplifting final scene, this movie provides a touching depiction of unwavering affection and inner fortitude.
