The initial Ocean's 11 felt polished and stylish, ranking among the better re-imaginings of classic stories. However, Ocean’s Twelve feels like a misfire, relying too heavily on its actors while seeming to frantically pack in as much story as possible. The narrative bounces around quite a bit, yet it still manages to sideline most of the returning performers from the first film. Catherine Zeta-Jones is present for some scenes that feel significant, and Vincent Cassel appears as a character reminiscent of Raffles but with breakdancing skills. A few jokes land well, and there’s a little amusement to be found in the interactions between Clooney, Pitt, and Damon. Ultimately, after all the plans and troubles are resolved, you're left with a sequel to a remake that is practically the opposite of what made the first one work. It’s disappointing. 4/10
