This was a really enjoyable film. I quite liked 'Ocean’s Eight'. It doesn't reach the heights of the original *'Ocean's Eleven'*, but I actually - just barely - preferred it to *'Ocean's Twelve'* and *'Ocean's Thirteen'*. There was a lot that worked well with this 2018 movie, including the rhythm and the selection of actors. It’s good to see Sandra Bullock (as Debbie) back in the series to maintain some consistency, and she performs admirably. I generally consider her an actress whose work can sometimes be grating – but here, it was completely different; I loved how she portrayed Debbie's charisma and self-assurance. Cate Blanchett (Lou) complements her performance effectively. The rest of the cast are all solid choices. Rihanna and Awkwafina were a pleasure to watch, as were Sarah Paulson, Mindy Kaling, and Anne Hathaway. James Corden is also in it; he tends to divide audiences, but I found him agreeable. The story itself is good and easy to follow. There was one detail during the main sequence that gave me pause, but otherwise I appreciated seeing how everything played out. The editing was well-done too. The conclusion wasn’t perfect, but it was still acceptable.
