Despite having an unoriginal storyline that’s been done many times before, *Obsessed* manages to be enjoyable because of its conclusion. I am aware that critics have largely dismissed this movie, and it does rely on a familiar narrative—a woman becomes fixated on Idris Elba and attempts to destroy his existence so he'll become solely hers. The plot itself isn’t particularly captivating, as similar scenarios appear in other films. However, the film provides amusement through its climactic sequence where Beyoncé, portraying the wife, engages in a physical confrontation with the intruder who disrupted her family. While the movie’s rhythm is inconsistent and the initial idea feels somewhat thin, the ending delivers. Beyoncé gets some satisfying retribution. It's not a remarkable or prize-worthy production, but it isn't nearly as bad as many reviews claim.
