My mother’s experiences with war have affected me in an indirect way. She rarely spoke of her oldest brother, but when she did, it was clear that her affection for him was always mixed with sadness about his death during wartime at a young age. I am pleased that "Number 24" exists because it connects the feelings of those who’ve lived through loss, hope, and the constraints of war with those who have only known tranquility. It seems like an appropriate message for our current times. We are witnessing, yet again, a resurgence of global conflict, along with diminishing personal liberties, especially when it comes to expressing oneself freely. It's important that everyone grasp the true meaning of war so they can value how precious peace and freedom truly are. Don’t believe those who suggest “safety” is equivalent to freedom; it isn’t. Ultimately, this film is deeply affecting, thought-provoking, and serves as an alert for all humankind. I believe it's especially important for younger viewers, who may not fully grasp the significance of peace and freedom.
