I really enjoyed 'Novocaine'! I’d seen some trailers and thought it seemed okay, maybe a little contrived, but that wasn’t the reality, particularly as things progressed. It's genuinely enjoyable, and while there's plenty of gore, it’s done well. Jack Quaid is great in the lead role – he’s very funny; this marks his second excellent film of 2025 after *'Companion'*, even though Sophie Thatcher was the focus in that one. It’s also good to see Amber Midthunder again, who was fantastic in 2022’s *'Prey'* and delivers a strong performance here as well. The supporting cast is quite good too, including Jacob Batalon and Ray Nicholson. The humor landed consistently throughout the film, and I found it amusing from beginning to end. The story gets pretty wild; there was one scene that didn't completely surprise me, but it still worked for me. Overall, I honestly can’t find anything wrong with this movie. It’s a great film!
