I’ve encountered something genuinely malevolent, and I believe I’ve seen its embodiment in this film. Certain aspects of the movie resonated with me quite strongly; there's a quality to it akin to gothic verse brought to life visually, and it possesses an undeniable beauty. However, another part of my reaction involved some disappointment regarding Nosferatu’s appearance. My expectation was for something closer to the traditional depiction, but setting that aside allowed me to appreciate the movie considerably. I must say Lily Depp's portrayal through her body was unexpected and she warrants acknowledgment for her efforts.
