Sites where people review films are a real problem when movies like this exist. Someone will watch something straightforward, maybe *Gran Torino*, and be pleased by it, appreciating some well-composed images or fluid camera movements, then give it an extremely positive score—something like 4.5 out of 5 stars, or 90% approval. But there are also films that feature moments so absurd, like a Cary Grant chase sequence involving climbing down Mount Rushmore, where you’re practically yelling at the screen the entire time. I certainly have my own examples of overly praised movies—particularly one from Alfred Hitchcock. But seriously, let's reserve those top marks for films that truly deserve them.
