It was an enjoyable and surprisingly original film. Many police movies fall into predictable patterns with familiar characters, storylines, and surprises. This one manages to do something unique with those elements; while not perfect in its delivery, it remains very entertaining, and the actors were exceptionally well-chosen. Some scenes are excessively bleak, which unfortunately detracts from the action because they're difficult to watch. Aside from that, I believe it’s a technically impressive film, and it has enough humor to hold your attention. The characters are compelling enough to draw you in, so you become invested in their fates, creating suspense around them. Overall, this is a strong action movie and a considerably better police procedural than what it seems at first glance.
