I can’t argue with those who have expressed negative opinions about it. Did I enjoy watching it? Not really. Was the plot easy to follow and did it convey a discernible point? Definitely not. Were the characters believable and connected to the story? Kind of. The characters in *Nope* are somewhat relatable, but they also feel strangely off-kilter. The largely one-word cowboy character, for instance, only reinforces the overall sense of confusion—though that might have been intentional. However, I think this technique actually hinders any progress in the already unclear storyline. His sister, who seems to be his opposite, talks a lot on the surface but also appears to lack any real understanding of herself. The one thing I can confidently say about *Nope* is that the visuals are impressive, detailed, and occasionally quite elaborate. The film absolutely earns an A+ for this aspect. However, so much else falls short; specifically, a clear narrative is missing, which meant it didn’t connect with me on any meaningful level. Overall, I found *Nope* to be a disappointing experience. It calls to mind the work of M. Night Shyamalan, as it's visually striking but doesn’t provide enough substance, leaving me wanting more.
