I wasn’t expecting to enjoy this as much as I did. I picked up the blu-ray simply because Bob Odenkirk was featured on the cover; being a fan of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, I was curious about the film's plot. Going into it, I didn’t know anything about the story, so I experienced it without any preconceived notions. The whole time, I found myself thoroughly entertained. What struck me most was how convincing Bob’s character felt throughout the movie. Another unexpected element was Mr. Odenkirk’s physical condition and apparent youthfulness, which stood in stark contrast to the roles he's known for. While the narrative was captivating, it didn't feel particularly groundbreaking. It reminded me a bit of John Wick, as I anticipated, but with its own distinct style—a story about an ordinary man concealing a hidden history. There were moments where I had to put aside logic and just accept that what I was seeing could conceivably occur, even if it seemed improbable. The antagonists were genuinely malevolent, and some scenes involving them felt exaggerated, though still enjoyable. The film concluded with me wanting to learn more about Bob’s character, Hutch, his allies, and the events of his past—both before and after he started a family. I'd suggest this to anyone who appreciates Bob Odenkirk and enjoys watching exciting fight sequences in an action-packed movie.
