It reminds me of a passage from George Orwell's *1984*, where he described the terrible, tasteless food served by the ruling power – cabbage with a foul smell and coffee that wasn’t really coffee at all. Lately, I’ve started to feel similarly about quite a bit of what Hollywood puts out. It seems to be missing something—a certain spark, any sense of uniqueness, it's just bland. The newest version of "Nobody," predictably called “Nobody 2,” certainly fits that description. What made the original film enjoyable is exactly what causes this one to fall short. The initial surprise – discovering that an ordinary suburban dad was actually a skilled killer – felt fresh and unexpected. Now that element has been removed, all that's left is predictable dialogue and uninspired scenes, as dull as its dated setting which looks like something out of a 1970’s theme park. I understand that people eager for action movies will probably find it acceptable. I do. But personally, I was hoping for more. A bit of imagination, some inventive ideas—something other than just another generic product coming off the Hollywood assembly line. Overall, "Nobody 2" is passable. It’s a standard action movie that provides entertainment but ultimately leaves you wanting something better. It's an average film.
