The latest film featuring Daniel Craig as Bond seemed like it could have been his finest work. What worked well included the visuals, the settings, the plot, the action sequences, and the overall direction. However, Rami Malek’s portrayal of the villain is easily the worst in the series' history; he was incredibly dull and made me feel sleepy. It seemed like maybe he was anxious and took a sedative before filming each scene. Lashana Lynch takes on the role of Bond's successor when he steps down, as Nomi. While her performance wasn’t bad, her character felt completely superfluous to the story, suggesting that the filmmakers were prioritizing political correctness over creating a truly excellent film. The movie could have been trimmed by about half an hour if she had been removed during editing.
