What happens when an American family finds themselves caught up in political unrest while living overseas? It asks: what would you do if you were suddenly forced to shield your family? Would you resort to violence for survival? The movie feels like a contemporary version of "The Killing Fields," but it’s considerably more engaging and streamlined. It's refreshing to see Owen in a dramatic role; he convincingly embodies the ordinary guy. Lake Bell delivers a strong performance as well, and Brosnan is effective even though his role is somewhat secondary. The film has a running time of 1 hour and 43 minutes and was filmed in Thailand.
