The movie No Escape Room attempts to capitalize on the popularity of escape room experiences, but ultimately doesn’t succeed due to its sluggish storytelling, underdeveloped characters, and numerous unresolved plot points. While there are a few scenes that manage to create suspense, the film has difficulty being understandable—it never explains how its unsettling environment came to be or why these individuals find themselves in it. Nevertheless, the movie serves as a reminder for audiences to exercise caution when venturing into unfamiliar locations and to always be wary of anything that feels unsafe.
