The film opens with a disturbing traffic collision where tragedy seems inevitable. Simultaneously, "Holly" (Abigail Hardingham) is ending her relationship with "David" (Javan Hirst). Her job is at a supermarket, and that's where she meets "Rob" (Cian Barry), bringing things around in a peculiar way. The woman who died in the accident was “Nina” (Fiona O’Shaughnessy), his long-term girlfriend. They quickly begin an affair, but their encounter is interrupted by his former partner—a genuinely unsettling moment. Blood soon appears, and "Holly" understandably flees. "Rob" finds himself overwhelmed with cleanup duties, needing a constant supply of bedding because their passion isn't easily subdued; they even purchase red sheets. It seems like something strange is happening outside of normal reality as “Nina” becomes increasingly troublesome—but how can they get rid of her? For roughly the first thirty minutes, it’s quite darkly humorous, and the possibility of supernatural involvement even becomes exciting, but as events unfold, that idea feels overused, and the characters seem to depend a bit too much on nudity. There's also some family drama involving his former in-laws, which causes the movie to lose its way. The Blaine brothers, who wrote and directed, had an amusing and original notion initially; however, they are unable to prevent it from spiraling into ridiculous absurdity. Despite this, it’s worth seeing, and the actors appear to be having a good time—though ultimately, it's a letdown.
