The monarch has departed from established customs by bestowing a knighthood upon "Boldheart," someone not of noble birth. Her intention was to create a sense of optimism and national pride, but as expected, there were those who disagreed with her decision. When she is murdered during the ceremony honoring him, the kingdom swiftly turns against the man they once celebrated. Even his partner, another knight named "Goldenloin," appears to be opposed to him, forcing Boldheart to escape into hiding. It's in this situation that he encounters the teenage being featured in the title, who decides to assist him in clearing his name. With her remarkable ability to change form and their combined bravery, they swiftly uncover a conspiracy designed to set him up, reaching the highest levels of power! Will he be able to stop the scheming and reclaim some measure of respect? It's a well-constructed adventure, with a great deal happening—lots of bright and lively action that would have been perfect for Tony Curtis. The LGBTQ+ element is presented straightforwardly; it’s primarily an animated action film featuring amusing lines reminiscent of "Nimona," alongside many entertainingly brief fight sequences involving transforming creatures. I don't get the sense that there was a great deal of real danger in the storyline, but it was still pleasant to watch during its short theatrical release. A delightful Arthurian-inspired experience!
